ASSAF PERFUMES | Victorian Era Collection
Assaf is a short animated piece that explores identity through scent, memory, and myth. Created for Assaf, the piece uses 2D collage animation and cinematic pacing to weave together Victorian and Bedouin aesthetics, turning perfume into a visual poem.
THE APPROACH
We worked with a collage-based aesthetic, blending Victorian visuals and Middle Eastern motifs while maintaining a poetic rhythm that draws from both cinematic language and cultural memory. The result is a visual narrative that feels both historic and immediate, romantic and abstract.
MAKING OF
Animation was executed in After Effects using cut-out layering and 2.5D composition to simulate depth and motion. Everything was built in-house, with voice, sound, and music developed from early concept to final mix.
